About Janel Brandtjen
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Janel has a B.S. in Finance & Marketing from UW-Milwaukee, and is a business owner in Menomonee Falls. She is married with 2 children, and is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She has served as Chair and Co-Chair of fundraising for Immanuel Lutheran School, Christ for Africa and Aquinas Academy. She is a member of the Republican Party of Waukesha County, and the Republican Women of Waukesha County.
In 2008, Janel was elected to the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors.
In 2010, Janel was recognized by her peers on the County Board and appointed to the Executive Committee; as well as chairing the Health and Human Services Committee
In 2011, Janel was one of only 3 members of the Executive Committee of the Waukesha County Board to endorse Governor Walker's Act 10.
In 2012, Janel defeated a 20 year incumbent County Board Chair with 57% of the vote in her re-election campaign.
In 2014 she took on the Waukesha County Museum, leading the fight to end funding until an audit was completed. She also led the effort to oppose the government-run health care facility proposed for Waukesha.

The 22nd Assembly District includes the Town of Erin, part of the Village of Richfield, most of the Town of Lisbon, the Village of Lannon, most of the Village of Menomonee Falls, the Village of Butler, and part of the City of Milwaukee.
